Parents and Players,
We have reached the end of the season for our JVA and JVB teams. I am extremely proud of the way both teams have played and developed throughout the season. I also want to give a shoutout to Coach Loyd and Coach Merrill, who both finished their first season coaching high school basketball! It is a huge adjustment and not an easy one. Thank you to both of our JV Coaches!
Our Varsity wrapped up the season with a win at home (Senior Night!) and a win on the road at Miamisburg (3 team sweep as well)! We finish the regular season 14-8 overall and 10-4 in the GWOC with sweeps over Miamisburg, Wayne, Springfield, Springboro and Beavercreek. This puts us in 3rd place in the conference. I'm very thankful for this team for their hard work, dedication and the way they battle through adversity. We know as a team (players and coaches) that we would like to have some games back, but I am beyond proud of this team and the very successful season that we had. The best part is, it's not over!
Tournament
Our tournament draw is this coming Sunday 2/22 at 2PM. We will know our location, time and opponent after that, so expect that information on the weekly email. Just as a heads up, the two dates we could play would be 3/4 or 3/5. As we get more information on the tournament, I will notify everyone asap.
In the meantime between our first tournament matchup, we will be practicing. There are a few players that do not currently dress on varsity that we want to continue to practice with us throughout the season. We have talked with these players individually.
Basketball Banquet TOMORROW
Tomorrow, Monday February 16th at 6:30PM, we will have our basketball banquet at the Presidential banquet center. The address is: 4548 Presidential Way, Kettering, OH, 45429. Food and drinks will be provided, and we will go over our season as well as hand out yearly awards and recognitions. There will be no practice tomorrow!
