COMPETITION UPDATE
CLASSIC / EATON / FAIRFIELD
THANK YOU! Athletes/Parents/Coaches - your hard work, time, and effort is appreciated! Hosting a Palooza on Thursday, setting up late on Friday, and then hosting the Classic on Saturday (with SNOW!) makes for a long few days. But, as usual, we crushed it and received many compliments! THANK YOU!
Varsity finished 6th (of 14) at the Classic with the following placers:
3rd - Metcalf, Jamison. 4th - Vo, Wallace. 5th - Conley, France, Buskard. 6th - Smith. 7th - Wireman, Gates. 8th - Livingston
Girls finished an impressive 6th of 37 at the Eaton Invitational with the following placers:
CHAMPS - TrueLee Vo & Caldwell, 2nd - Sharkey, 5th - Wesig, Hosford, 6th - White
JV went 1-2 in a shortened event at Fairfield.
2 Wins - J. Robinson, Wilt, Boussaha, and J. Norman. 1 Win - Agee, E. Sipe, Franklin-Wenning
We have A LOT to work on and new items to install in all 3 technical areas. Not sure too many of our athletes got what they wanted this weekend, so it's back to work! Our attitude, whether you got what you wanted or not, is DOESN'T MATTER, GET BETTER!
EXAM WEEK
Monday-Tuesday are regular school days (with Tuesday afternoon having 10th period exam). Wednesday-Friday are full exam days with a schedule that has our athletes done at 1:15 PM. Athletes need to use the 1:15-3:05 time for exam study time. Practice time (3:25-5:45) remains unchanged for this very reason. Also, if athletes leave after the end of exams at 1:15, they are still expected back for practice, all week!
Big week this week - dual @ Miamisburg on Thursday (all will attend, not all will wrestle), Varsity Boys @ Coaches Classic on Saturday-Sunday, and Varsity Girls @ Queen of the Jungle on Saturday!
GRADES
Only Exam Week is left in 2nd Quarter. Hopefully everyone has "made the grade" and stayed eligible for 2nd semester!
Grades will be checked again after Winter Break to MAINTAIN eligibility for January & beyond.
Need to be passing 5 classes (PE only 1/2 credit) & have better than a 1.5 to remain eligible!
Be a Scholar-Athlete, not a Dumb Jock!
