2. WEEKLY NOTES
COMPETITION UPDATE
The Varsity Boys won the team title at the Xenia Invitational and were led by champions Brock Conley, Dawson France, and Kolby Wallace. Runner-ups were Kellen Metcalf and Ty Vo. Also placing top 6 were Jamin Livingston, Carter Robinson, Jack Williamson, Isaiah Carl, Hayden Drake, Ja’Siah Jamison, Noah Olligschlager. The inaugural "official" Girls Wrestling Firebirds team finished 14th of 49 teams at the Western Brown Hammer & Anvil. TrueLee Vo finished 3rd while Jarrettka Hoover finished 6th. The group of 10 girls that wrestled won 22 combined matches! Definitely a good start to the season! Let's build on it, especially as the competition level increases (which it will).

Setup is Friday night 9:30-11 PM after the boys basketball game. All team members required to attend. Athletes wrestling on Saturday will probably be released early. Our youth tournament is in January this year, so we will tear-down the tournament immediately after wrestling is finished on Saturday night.
* Event Workers
We need 2 clock workers for all day (you will get paid!) as well as a Bullpen Coordinator (you will get paid!). If you have experience and/or are willing to learn, please contact Coach Baxter ASAP! The preference is to have an ADULT and not a student do these jobs.

GRADES
Only 1 regular week + Exam Week left in 2nd Quarter. Grades will be checked again after Winter Break to MAINTAIN eligibility for January & beyond.
Need to be passing 5 classes (PE only 1/2 credit) & have better than a 1.5 to remain eligible!
Make the grade! Be a Scholar-Athlete, not a Dumb Jock!
