What a FANTASTIC first meet we had Friday night. The girls' team edged out Beavercreek for a 1st place finish. The team score came down to the last event. The Creek girls' relay was DQ'd for an early takeoff by their fourth swimmer. That gave us enough team points to overtake the Beavers. We had so many amazing swims. The girls set 24 personal bests, and the boys set 17. All of the results and times are on Swimcloud.

The hard work is paying off.. We need to keep rowing. There are many more currents to navigate.

Thanks to ALL of the volunteers for making our meet run so smoothly. I am so grateful and humbled by your commitment to the program.

We get to do it all again next Friday!! This will be a bigger meet. It will have 9 total teams. I will post the lineup for that this evening, hopefully. Volunteers, expect an email from Angie by midweek reminding you of your assignments

We are doing an ALL team outing to "Deck the Diamond." on Dec 30. We will have pizza at the Kettering Rec Center after swim practice and buses will pick us up and take us downtown to the Diamond Holiday Light Show at the Dayton Dragons Ballpark. We will return to the Kettering rec around 9:30 PM. All team members are welcome to attend and all costs will be paid for by the team. I need you to sign up using this link on Google classroom. I will be pre-ordering your tickets and pizza. Divers who wish to attend can just meet us at the Kettering Rec around 6PM for pizza (still sign up though). Please sign up BY MONDAY!!

Our overnight meet is fast approaching. I will be putting out all info about that in next week's email. For planning purposes...we will depart the Fairmont athletic lobby at 2PM on Friday, Dec 19. This is during the last exam make-up period. So you will need to have all of your exams squared away with teachers. You will also need to bring your overnight bag and swim bag to school and it will be checked by school administrators. We will return to Fairmont late Saturday evening. Return time will be more firm when I see the timeline for the meet. They are pre-selling hoodies and t-shirts for the meet.
