FIREBIRDS IN THE POSTSEASON - Fall 2025
10/23/25 Update
Girls Golf
The girls wrapped up their regular season at the GWOC Tournament on Sept. 17 held at Pipestone Golf Club. The team shot a 394, finishing in 3rd place, and setting a new School Record for an 18 hole match. Miah Fuller and Olivia Dolson both earned 2nd Team All-Conference. Reese Wilcheck was named Special Mention.
In the SWDAB Sectional Tournament held at Echo Hills Golf Club on Sept. 18, the girls finished in 4th place (out of 15), shooting a new School Record 389, to qualify for the District Tournament. Miah Fuller shot a team best 84, which is a new Fairmont Girls Golf Record!
In the SWDAB District Tournament on Tuesday, Oct. 7 held at Pipestone Golf Club, the girls finished in 16th place, shooting 421, to close out their season. Junior, Miah Fuller, shot a team best 84, to finish in 18th place (out of 95).
Boys Golf
The boys wrapped up their regular season at the GWOC Tournament on Sept. 17 held at Pipestone Golf Club, finishing with a team score of 331 to tie for 5th place. Ashton Adams shot a team low score of 76, and was named to the GWOC Second Team.
The boys team shot a team score of 325 (shot 346 in 2024) in the SWDAB Sectional Tournament on Monday, Sept. 29 at Yankee Trace Golf Course, to finish in 5th place. They were 4 shots away from 4th place, which would have qualified the whole team to the District Tournament. Ashton Adams shot a team low score of 77 and will advance as an individual to the District Tournament on Monday, Oct. 6 at Pipestone Golf Club.
Ashton shot a 77 in the District Tournament, finishing in 39th place (out of 96), to close out his season.
Girls Tennis
The girls finished 3 - 4 in the GWOC and 7 - 10 overall. They competed in the SWDAB Sectional Tournament on Tuesday, September 30 at Centerville High School to close out their season.
Boys Soccer
The Firebirds (#4) defeated Springboro (#3) 2 -1 in OT, on Tuesday, Oct. 21 to advance to the SWDAB District Finals vs Walnut Hills @ Lakota East High School on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 5:00 pm.
Girls Soccer
The Firebirds (#4) traveled to Beavercreek (#3) on Monday, Oct. 20 at 7:00 pm in the SWDAB District Semi-Finals. The Firebirds fell to Beavercreek 3 - 0 to close out their season.
Girls Volleyball
The Firebirds (#4) defeated Beavercreek (#3) 3 - 1 on Monday, Oct. 20 to advance to the SWDAB District Finals vs Loveland @ Butler High School on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 8:00 pm.
Cross Country
The 2025 GWOC Cross Country Meet was held on Saturday, Oct. 11 at Northmont High School. The Girls Team finished in 5th place. The top runner for the girls was freshman Lucy Schafer, who finished in 2nd place with a time of 19:05. The Boys Team finished in 5th place. The top runner for the boys was Ethan Nartowicz who finished in 10th place with a time of 16:39.
The Firebirds will travel to Troy High School on Saturday, October 25 to compete in the SWDAB District Cross Country Meet. The Girls race starts at 3:30 pm, followed by the Boys at 4:10 pm.
Football
The Firebirds (4-2, 4-5) travel to Beavercreek (3-3, 4-5) on Friday, Oct. 24 in their last regular season game. They are currently 11th in the OHSAA DI Region 2 Harbin Rankings. The top 12 teams after week 10 will advance to the post season tournament.
Field Hockey
The Firebirds (#6) traveled to Ursuline (#4) on Thursday, Oct. 17th for their first round OHSAA Girls Field Hockey Division I District Tournament game. The Firebirds played a great game, but unfortunately fell 1 - 0 in OT to close out their season.
