The cross country Firebirds competed against strong Columbus (and Little Miami) teams, at the Eisenhart Invitational on Saturday with some nice breakthroughs.

Lucy Schafer raced to a 6th place finish while moving solidly to 4th on the all-time FHS top runner list! Also scoring in the girls’ team race were Peyton Taylor, Lola Becker, Evelyn Wesig and Charlotte Hardenbrook; with Paige Murray and Sherry Dong helping in the team 6th and 7th spots.
Ethan Nartowicz was the top runner for the boys team finishing 10th overall. Also scoring for the boys in the varsity race were, Aidan Quadros, Alec Hor, Chris Schutt, and John Keeton; with Will Stewart and Grady McMeekin helping in the team 6th/7th spots.
The team will travel to Northmont HS for the GWOC Championship on Saturday, October 11th for the final meet with the entire team competing this season!
