It was heating up for the Firebirds Cross Country team Saturday, 9/13 at the Springboro Invitational. Lucy Schafer raced to a 3rd place finish to lead the girls team. Peyton Taylor, Lola Becker, Evelyn Wesig, and Paige Murray were in the scoring 5, with Abigail DelGrosso and Alanna Hawkins helping the team finish a close 4th place/11 teams (missing 3rd Waynesville by only 1 point). Ethan Nartowicz led the boys with his strong 5th place finish. Aidan Quadros, Alec Hor, Chris Schutt, and Grady McMeekin scored, with John Keeton and Connor Layman, helping the boys team with their close 5th place/16 teams (missing 4th Mason by only 1 point).
The entire team of 61 runners has momentum on their side!
